Key note lecture: Nanolignin and possible applications
dr. Anton Friedl is professor in the Institute of Chemical, Environmental and Bioscience Engineering (ICEBE) at the Faculty of Technical Chemistry at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria (TU-Wien) . He obtained his chemical engineering degree at TU Wien (1984) and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at TU Wien, in 1990. He obtained Post Doc experience at Massey University in Biotechnology and Environmental Department, Palmerston North New Zealand (1989-90) and University of California at Berkeley, USA (1991). Industrial experience in the field of power plant engineering (Austrian Energy & Environment 1996-1999).
Between 2014 and 2018 Prof. Friedl was the director of the Institute of Chemical Engineering, Vienna University of Technology and now he coordinates the research division Bio resources and Plant Science: Focus Sustainable process engineering in the same department.
Prof. Friedl’s research and teaching experience is in the fields of Thermal process Engineering, separation science and process simulation and development of sustainable processes.
Prof. Friedl has published more than 220 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, 6 patents, 85 key note lectures/presentations in international/national conferences.
