Key Note Lecture:  LCA as a useful tool for supporting the definition of a sustainable wastewater treatment plant

Almudena Hospido is Associate Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain.

Chemical engineer as degree (USC, 1999), she got her PhD on Chemical and Environmental Engineering in 2005. After two post-docs stages, she is back in her home University since February 2008.

Her CV includes 54 papers in peer-review journals, 43 of them included in the SCI, and 8 book chapters, with an H factor of 19 (Web of Science), as well as more than 80 contributions to international conferences and the supervision of 4 PhD Thesis (2 of them on-going).

Her current research interests are related to the application and development of Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Footprints, with special focus on the water and wastewater sector and on the food production and processing industry.

In addition to this, since September 2015 she is the Vice-rector for Internationalization of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
